Santa Cruz Honors Justin Sommer’s Journey in New Video

Keep your eye on the sparrow
CHRIS MORGAN  |

Berlin’s own Justin Sommer has had quite the journey as a skateboarder. He’s gone from the streets of Germany to heading to the United States and turning some heads to going pro with Santa Cruz Skateboards. Earlier this year, Sommer got his first pro model boards from Santa Cruz. Now, he has a new video from the longtime skateboarding company as well.

Santa Cruz’s video is titled Sparrow in homage to Sommer’s journey so far. As the description of the video tells it, sailors would get a tattoo of a sparrow once they had traveled 5,000 nautical miles. Since Berlin is over 5,000 miles from Santa Cruz, California, the company figured it was fitting to honor their team member with the sparrow motif. Also, by showing off his incredible skating. Check out Sparrow now!
