Greyson Fletcher’s Raw Energy Steals the Show at Simple Session’s 25th Anniversary

Greyson Fletcher’s fearless fence climbs steal the spotlight at Simple Session.

Simple Session just celebrated 25 years of skating madness, and man, what a birthday bash it was! With the skateboarding community coming together for this huge event, the action was insane from start to finish. If you haven’t checked out the best trick video we posted from Day 1 over on our YouTube channel, you’re missing out. But while there was plenty of crazy action, the one guy who really made his mark during the whole event – from qualifiers to finals – was none other than Greyson Fletcher.

The Greyson Fletcher Phenomenon:

Now, let’s talk about Greyson. Some people might look at him and say he looks like a skateboarding Post Malone (seriously, someone actually commented that on our reels). Others might complain that he only does ollies, wondering when he's gonna break out something crazier. But here’s the thing: Greyson brought a level of rawness to Simple Session that you just don’t see every day. Yeah, it's cool to watch those clean-cut skaters nailing their perfect tricks, but Greyson? He brings a whole different vibe. Watching him throw himself down massive fences over already gnarly ramps was better than any perfectly executed park or street trick – it's real, it’s raw, and 100% fearless.

The Fence Climb Incident:

So here’s what went down. Greyson was running his qualifiers like the absolute beast he is, when—boom—he messes up a trick. But instead of just shrugging it off, Greyson climbs up the fence where the judges are sitting. Yeah, you read that right. He just casually walks up and starts scaling this fence in the middle of his run. The crowd? Completely losing it. It looked insane, and to top it off, he tried the trick, but it didn’t work out on the first try. Was this some next-level skateboarding or what? But that’s Greyson for you – always going bigger than anyone expects.

Finals: The Madness Continues:

Fast forward to Day 2. The dude is back at it in the finals, still bringing that wild energy that only Greyson Fletcher can deliver. And what does he do? He climbs that same damn fence again in his first run! This time, though, he tells the crowd he needs someone to help him out. When you’re going up on that fence, you need someone to grab your shoulder and steady you before you take the leap. So who steps up? David Loy, ready to assist.

The crowd? Absolutely losing their minds. It was so high, so intense, and so freaking scary to watch. This wasn’t your typical skateboarding move; this was Greyson taking it to the next level. It took him four tries before he nailed it, but when he did, the place went wild. That’s the kind of energy that makes Simple Session such an unforgettable event.
