The Tokyo Olympics have finished and for skateboarding it turned out pretty successfully. Here at Dose we believe skating can be both a competitive sport that showcases skill and athleticism and a creative outlet for people who don’t want to compete on their board. That’s part of what makes it so awesome. Skateboarding made its Olympic debut here in 2021, a year later than expected. Now it’s happened, though, and the medals have been handed out. We’re already seeing stories about girls around the world picking up skating after watching their fellow female teenagers dominate at the Olympics and if you can’t feel good about that check your pulse.
