Ostbahnhof To The Schoolyard: An East Berlin Session
The DOSE crew met at Franz-Mehring-Platz, just around the corner from Ostbahnhof. Plattenbau, sunshine, a little warm-up, some tree hugging and the first street obstacles. Things were going well until security had other plans.

Luckily, the next spot was just around the corner: Stairway to Heaven.
The crew quickly decided it was more like Stairway to Shit. A terrible spot. “Who posted this on the Shinner app?” was heard more than once.
Still, they made it work.

A few blocks later, we found a schoolyard packed with things that probably weren’t meant to be skated. Naturally, pretty much everything that looked remotely skateable got skated.
The only problem: sand. Everywhere.
Slippery was an understatement.

There was also a sketchy little pickle that looked like it had never seen a skateboard in its entire existence. Tyron disagreed and kept dropping in.
As the afternoon went on, more skaters joined, boards kept flying and the schoolyard slowly turned into the main event.

Then there was Viktor.
He spent roughly two hours trying to land one trick.
Bright sunlight when he started. Completely dark when he finally landed it.
That’s a pretty solid way to spend a Sunday.
Who knew going back to school could be this much fun?
