WATCH THE SECOND ROUND OF THE SLS GAMES
We told you about the SLS Games when they got announced. There wasn’t a ton of fanfare to that announcement, because this whole thing is pretty tongue in cheek, even if it comes out of something serious. Street League Skateboarding had to cancel their Olympic-qualifying events in March because of the pandemic, really putting a crimp into the schedules of street skating fans. Thus, the SLS Games were born.
This lo-fi, low-stakes competition sees Team Koston (Eric Koston, Kevin Bradley, and Ishod Wair) against Team Shane (Shane O’Neill, Robert Neal, and Carlos Ribeiro) in a series of skate competitions. We missed the first round, but we’ve got the second round here for you. Live (well, not really) from Biebel’s Park comes a game of O.U.T. What’s on the line? Um, a two-second head start in the final round. Yeah, it’s all silly, but it’s also a lot of fun. It’s not like these six guys aren’t talented street skaters. Maybe we missed out on a lot of cool stuff when the SLS had to cancel their events, but at least we get the SLS Games. Watch the O.U.T. competition right here to see which team gets the oh-so-important win.
