This year, Street League Skateboarding was supposed to have a series of Olympic-qualifying events. That Olympics isn’t happening until next year now, and the SLS events were cancelled in March because, well, you know by this point right? It’s a bummer to have to use the word “pandemic” as often as we do. However, Street League Skateboarding still wants to give you some action, even if the stakes are low and the competition is meaningless. Welcome to the SLS Games.

The SLS Games, which were announced on Instagram in this post, features two teams, one led by Eric Koston and one led by Shane O’Neill. Their teams are competing in a series of competitions at Biebel’s Park. The series, such as it is, launched Thursday, but this teaser tells you everything you need to know. Obviously, the “competition” here is all for fun and to kill some time during all this. It’s not as exciting as Street League Skateboarding’s Olympic qualifiers, but it’s something, and we certainly appreciate it.
