Vans Has a New Digital Livestream Network

Vans usually has all sort of live events, or at least their fingers in the pie of many a live event. We remember Vans being a big sponsor of the Warped Tour back in the day, and of course they sponsor skating events left and right. Well, that’s true in normal times. These are not normal times, though. In 2020, Vans lost many events, but they are trying to rev things up in 2021. To those purposes, Vans has laughed a new digital livestream network called Channel 66. Channel 66 is livestreaming Monday through Friday from sports in Mexico City, Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago. In the brand’s press release, Vans declared, “Channel 66 spotlights each city’s unique heritage in sub-culture by programming through the lens of the people who live it. Channel 66 offers a live audio and video broadcast featuring DJ sets, curated radio shows, talks, workshops, and musical performances across music, art, action sports and community.”

There’s not a lot of talk of skateboarding in there, but we’re sure a Vans project will involve skating at some point. If you want to watch Channel 66, you can do it right here.
