Skateboarding Meets Cuisine in New Santa Cruz Series

Skateboarders meld craft and creativity, and so do chefs. There’s a decent amount that these two disparate groups have in common. As such, it’s not surprising that some skaters are friends with chef and vice versa. Santa Cruz has a new series called Dig In! and in episode one they meet up with Cory Obenour, the head chef and owner of Blue Plate in San Francisco. Jereme Knibbs, Jake Wooten, and Kevin Braun hang out with Cory at Blue Plate, which they call “the kitchen of the Skate Community.”

Cory is a skater, and the three Santa Cruz team members try their hands at cooking themselves. This is the first skateboarding video we can recall with recipes in the YouTube description.
