Cowtown Announces Digital PHXAM Event

You can still do skating competitions in 2021 (at a distance)

Last year’s PHXAM contest, a Phoenix-based competition for amateur skaters, had to be cancelled for obvious reasons. This year, they can’t do their typical contest, but Cowtown Skateshop in Arizona and Vans are joining forces to make PHXAM 2021 happen. Of course, as the subtitle “Wishing You Were Here” indicates, this isn’t your typical competition. Everything about the 2021 PHXAM event will be digital. Skaters were able to submit 60 seconds of footage of themselves for the competition, all filmed at local skateparks. The top 10 skaters are being placed into an edit that is being screened at the West Wind drive-in theater in Glendale, Arizona on April 17. Tickets are $40 USD per car, and there will be a limited number of gift bags. You can get more info on the contest right here.
