An Organized Event 'Keep Pushing For Tyre' Was Held Last Week

In honor of the life and legacy of Tyre Nichols
DANNY BROWN  |

Nichols was locally known for his passion for skateboarding and dedication to taking the time and learn some of the most challenging tricks. He was a beloved member of the skateboarding community in Memphis, and his passing has left a vast void.

The Berrics had posted. "To honor and celebrate the life of Tyre Nichols, we will peacefully "KEEP PUSHING FOR TYRE" starting at the Berrics parking lot and skating to LA's Hall of Justice. This is a peaceful event meant to bring our skate community together in honoring and remembering one of our fallen brothers. Our friends at DGK and Pawnshop Skate Co. will be out in full force so make sure to be there by 12:00pm to KEEP PUSHING FOR TYRE!!"

Loved by so many, hundreds of people had gathered on this day to show their love and support for Tyre and his family; we are again reminded how brutal the police can be when you're a totally innocent citizen trying to simply get home to the people who make you feel safe.
This is a sad and unfortunate reminder that we can't trust Public Servants (Police Officers) these days and you should put the same amount of trust in them as you would any stranger on the street if not, less.
