WATCH SANTA CRUZ BREAK IN A NEW CALIFORNIA SKATEPARK

Don’t worry, it was pre-lockdown.

These days, we’ve gotten used to having to point out that certain public events happened before the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped the landscape. We don’t need everybody freaking out about a bunch of people gathered together and hanging. Skateparks are getting filled up with sand these days to keep misguided rebels from showing up to skate. This has probably been particularly tough for the folks of Seacliff, California, as they opened a new park right before California put stringent quarantine measures in place. Hey, at least they had a big opening before that happened.

Seacliff is a small town in California, with the most notable nearby city probably being Santa Cruz. There is a skate brand that took the name of its home city and they have a skate team that decided to swing by Seacliff to help the park open its proverbial doors to the world (few skateparks have actual doors). Guys like Emmanuel Guzman and Mario McCoy hit the skatepark to rep Santa Cruz, the brand, and the city. You can watch he events above from the comfort of your own home. Oh, and this took place on February 8. Eventually, the world will open back up, and maybe the Santa Cruz crew will show up to reopen the Seacliff Skatepark.
