Vans and SpongeBob Join Forces for a Few Shoe Designs

OK, so these may not be shoes you want to wear for a serious skateboarding session. Perhaps for a casual ride through the neighborhood they will suffice, but we know that a lot of Vans shoes are better for day-to-day wear than skating these days. However, we wanted to write about these shoes for two reasons. One, Vans is still a quintessential skateboarding brand. Two, SpongeBob Squarepants is involved. That icon has been on television for over 20 years at this point and just had a new movie come out. Now, SpongeBob, and Nickelodeon, are teaming with Vans for some designs for the Vans Customs program.

You can get any Vans Classic silhouette done up in one of four SpongeBob designs. Two of them are just SpongeBob, one is Patrick, and the other features a bunch of gang just hanging out. Oh, and the sock liners are yellow, naturally. These designs will become available on June 4 in the Vans webstore. Celebrate with a pineapple.
