SKATE AFTER SCHOOL IS GIVING BOARDS TO KIDS IN ARIZONA
Even charitable organizations are feeling the pinch of the COVID-19 pandemic. Take, for example, Skate After School. It’s a dope non-profit that is dedicated to helping elementary school kids from low-income homes how to skate. Normally, this takes the form of volunteers and mentors showing up after school to teach these kids skating. Unfortunately, right now you can’t do that safely. That isn’t going to stop Skate After School, though. They’ve got a Plan B up their sleeves, and you can help right now.
Skate After School is currently giving away free skateboard to kids in Phoenix, Arizona, a city of tremendous economic disparity. How can you help? Visit the Skate After School website. There, you can sign up for a $10 a month donation. If you do that, your first $10 will be matched by an anonymous donor. Also, you will get a free “Buddy” pin. Even if you can’t afford 10 bucks a month, you can give a little cash to help out, or just let people know about Skate After School. Don’t let the pandemic keep these kids from skating.
