SANTA CRUZ GOES DEEP INTO THE LIFE OF JEREME KNIPPS

A lot of skate videos are quite short. In fact, just today we posted a video of Julian Restrepo that was only a little over 90 seconds long. Those can be awesome. However, a video like that can’t really give a skater’s story any justice. Not that highlight reels are trying to do that. Those edits serve their purpose, and that purpose is to be very cool and exciting. Santa Cruz’s video about team skater Jereme Knibbs, however, has much more on its mind.

Santa Cruz is one of the oldest skating companies in the United States. While they are based in California, and while Knibbs is from Tampa, Florida, the two are seemingly a match made in heaven. Knibbs has had quite the journey to get to this point, and Santa Cruz leaves no stone unturned in this edition of True Grit. It’s a 48-minute-long video that really gets to the heart of Knibbs and what drives him in his skating. There’s skating in this video, of course, but so much more. If you want to know what makes Knibbs tick, or if you just like skateboarding biopics, this will deliver.
