Nestor Judkins Checks Out the Cuban Skate Scene

To skateboarder is an island.

We previously wrote about Enjoi’s Nestor Judkins’ trip to Bangalore, India, where he talked skateboarding and hung out with some local skaters. Around that time, Judkins formed a non-profit called Salad Days of Skateboarding. Not only is he interested in seeing the world, but Judkins is also equally interested with sharing skateboarding with people all across the planet, especially in places where the skating infrastructure isn’t as strong. In the latest Wish You Were Here video for Salad Days of Skateboarding, Judkins went to Cuba, a country that has only been open to Americans for a little while. There he checked out the work that Cuba Skate is doing to build up skating in the country. There’s a lot of beauty in Cuba, but there is also a lot of room for skating to grow. Maybe thanks to people like Judkins we are close to seeing some all-world skaters come out of the island. Watch the above video from his trip.
