Nishiya won gold in the street event at the Tokyo Olympics, the first to feature skateboarding as an event. Oda is no slouch either, having won a Street League Skateboarding event. If you are unaware, Sanrio is the company behind Hello Kitty, the iconic Japanese character. Nishiya and Oda will now have their decks covered in Hello Kitty and Sanrio stickers as part of the sponsorship deal. The first event where we will see Nishiya and Oda with their Sanrio sponsorships? That would be the X Games in Chiba. You can take a look at the PR release about the deal if you want. That’s your business.
