The “Wasted Youth” shows punk’s not dead
CHRIS MORGAN  |

Skateboarding and punk rock go way back. The Venn Diagram of skaters and punk fans has a lot of overlap. This connection is seen in the Verdy x Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration called the “Wasted Youth.” Verdy has long-held ties to skating and punk, and they wanted to make that clear in the design. The punk vibes in the black denim are pretty cool, although we have to admit we think insoles that say stuff like “No thank you I don’t need your support” and “Don’t bother me anymore” are a little cheesy. What’s definitely not cheesy, though, is the campaign that Nike SB and Verdy have put together. Featuring Ishod Wair and shot by Atiba Jefferson, these are some cool images that definitely highlight the style of the shoe. The “Wasted Youth” will cost you $110 USD and is being released in different spots over the first week of April. For now, you can get your looks over at Verdy’s Instagram.
