Everything You Need to Know About 2023 Park Skateboarding World Championships

Well, 2022 is over! Do you know what that means? It is a new year, so there will be another Park Skateboarding World Championships. Starting on February 5th and lasting until February 12th, hosted by Aljada Skate Park in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is where the Park Skateboarding World Championships are taking place in 2023. But why is this competition so important, you may ask? Well, with the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris in 2024, this competition is significant for skaters to boost up there points in the ranking for the Olympic games. In addition, many famous skaters will be participating in this competition to elevate their standing in the Olympic game pole, which will be offered in this competition, such as Jagger Eaton, Sky Brown, Pedro Barros, Yosozumi Sakura, and Keegan Palmer

If you want to watch the events but can not fly out to Sharjah to watch the events live, a live stream of the events will be on the Olympic Channel, which you can get from Olympics.com. Below, you can also find the full schedule of events, so you know when to tune into the live stream. However, the live stream will begin in the semi-finals on February 11th. So if you cannot wait long to know how your favorite skater is doing, live updates will happen on the website and the Olympic app, so you can find out how your skaters are doing.  

Park skateboarding world championships 2023 schedule (EST).

  • Sunday, February 5th 
    • Open practice sessions are from midnight until 11:35 am
  • Monday, February 6th
    • Open practice sessions are from midnight until 11:35 am
  • Tuesday, February 7th
    • Open practice sessions are from midnight until 11:35 am 
    • Pre-seeded skaters' practice is from 11:40 am until 1:15 pm 
  • Wednesday, February 8th
    • The women's Open qualifiers are from midnight until 8:55 am
    • Pre-seeded skaters' practice is from 9:00 am until 10:35 am
  • Thursday, February 9th
    • Men open qualifier is from midnight until 11:55 am
    • Pre-seeded skaters' practice is from noon until 1:35 pm 
  • Friday, February 10th
    • Women's quarterfinals are from 1:40 am until 5:55 am
    • Men's quarterfinals are from 7:40 am until 11:55 am 
  • Saturday, February 11th
    • Women's semi-finals are from 6:00 am until 8:45 am
    • Men's semi-finals are from 9:30 am until 12:15 pm 
  • Sunday, February 12th
    • The women's finals are from 8:10 am until 8:55 am
    • The men's finals are from 9:25 am until 10:10 am
    • The awards ceremony is from 10:40 am until 11:10 am
