This Was CPH Open 2023
Another CPH Open is officially done, and as the hangovers become more violent, we all reflect on the amazing few days in Copenhagen this year. Five days of pure skateboarding, rain dodging, and partying until sunrise, only to do it all again the next day.
As always, it was filled with amazing people and incredible skateboarding, and when surviving on beer, minimum sleep, Christiana hash, and maximum hype is what keeps you going!

After trying to remember everyone's name from the day before, Friday became a bit of a hustle with the weather when the session at Amager Strandpark got a bit rained out in the beginning, but then a short time later, the 17 stair widowmaker rail was put to the test as some ballsy skaters committed themselves to get a buck. In the evening, many people gathered at Wonderland (Christiana) for a hotboxed bowl session, ready to forget everyone's name again.

Saturday was also a bit of a hustle with the weather, but there were a lot of side missions going down which were hard to keep up with. However, we managed to catch a brief few moments at the skatepark jam before taking a bike ride with around 200 other skaters heading to the exact location but with half an idea on how to even get there. It was like Tour De France, but all the riders were drunk skaters—a dangerous but hilarious scene.
Destination: Copenhagen Skatepark, where the main event took place, and a huge backyard party went down to go out with a bang! As always, we got a little carried away with the flowing beers and cocktails, and eventually, it all became a blur.

As the hangovers kicked in and people started to regret their drink choices from the night before, we all got together by the water to chill out in the sun and wind down to good music after, yet another hectic but beautiful week spent with all the people who share the same passion as yourself. Skateboarding is the best, and being involved in this movement is an incomparable feeling.
