Cibo's New Deck Might Just Help You Land Some Buttery Tre's
Fighting fascism with food made him famous
Racism and discrimination rears its ugly head in many forms, one cowardly approach is through graffiti. Italian street artist Cibo is set out a mission to silence this hatred and replace it with a more universal sign of happiness. His works sees offensive tags covered up with harmless portraits of food.
Bonobolabo, a store specializing in skateboards and street art supplies, collaborated with Cibo on a new board design and it’s tasty! The graphic, a stick of butter, is a play on skate wax and how your board “slides like butter” on a ledge. Named ‘Burro di panna’ or ‘Cream butter’ if you don’t speak Italian, it’s definitely his most appetizing artwork to date. You can grab your own Burro di Panna board here.
