Did you know that skateboarding is coming to the Olympics? It’s true! Years after snowboarding got the nod from the Olympic folks, skateboarding is finally being added. That is when we finally have the Olympics again. Keegan Palmer, a teenage skater from Australia, was hoping to rep his county in Tokyo this summer. Then, well, the world fell apart. Palmer talks about that, and more, in a new interview with Wide World of Sports.

If you needed any proof that skateboarding is being accepted as a legitimate sport, the double-dip of the Olympics and an interview with Palmer in Australia’s version of Wide World of Sports proves that. Unfortunately, there is no Olympics this summer due to COVID-19. It has been postponed until 2021. When it happens, skateboarding will be there, and Palmer is still hoping to be the one who gets to represent Australia. The teenager is certainly in the running. That’s only part of what Palmer touches on in his conversation with the Wide World of Sports folks. Give it a read here. Hopefully, we find out sooner rather than later if Palmer is going to make the cut.
