A Day in the Life with Sachi: Skating, Struggles, and the Brussels Hustle
For the first episode of our new Day in the Life series, we linked up with Samuel de Greeaf, better known as SACHI, in Brussels, Belgium. Skater, performer, YouTuber, part-time philosopher, full-time oddball… and for now, technically homeless.
After getting kicked out of his apartment, Sachi’s been posted up at his girlfriend’s spot. We showed up there in the morning, tagged along for his daily routine: baguette, black coffee, and tortured-poet journaling, and then rolled through a full day of skating, storytelling, and emotional rollercoasters.
Skating, Struggles, and Stories
Our first stop was Brussels’ oldest skatepark, where Sachi talked about growing up on the outside, family drama, and the mental health ups and downs that shaped him. He even broke down how playing instruments as a kid helped fund his earliest setups, a mix of hustle and creativity that still defines him.
From there, we headed to Leuven, his hometown, to skate the park where it all started. Between clips, SACHI opened up about what still drives him physically, emotionally, and artistically, even when life throws curveballs.
Raw, Relatable, and a Little Unhinged
Spending the day with Sachi felt like getting the full spectrum of hilarious tangents, honest oversharing, and flashes of heavy reflection. It’s messy, it’s inspiring, and it’s exactly why he’s one of the most interesting characters on a board right now. Just like SACHI, this episode is raw, reflective, and slightly unhinged, in the best way possible.
