A few tips that will come in handy

There is no specific code when it comes to skateboarding. Usually, you can wear whatever comes in handy, or anything that gives you a great deal of flexibility. That being said, if you are just getting started, then here are a few tips that will come in handy for you.

Durability

Whatever you prefer to wear, you have to try and make sure that it is durable. If you wear thicker material such as chino or denim, then this will help you to stay active for more sessions, and it will stop you from tearing or ripping your clothes. Check out the coats and jackets from Gym King if you want to choose something up to the task.

Flexibility

You have to remember that most of the movements that you do during skateboarding will result in you using your legs. You do not have to make sure that your clothes are super stretchy, but it does help to have something that stretches ever so slightly so that you do not end up confining your body movements. If you can do this, then you will get a better result out of your skateboarding experience.

Shirts

Slip into a cotton shirt, a tank top or even a hoodie if you can. If you do this, then you will soon find that you can find the best way to make a difference to your performance when you are skateboarding. Don’t be afraid to experiment and choose something that helps you to feel great either, as this again, will make a huge difference to your game.

Shorts and Pants

Some skateboarders much prefer to wear pants for things such as street skating. The main reason for this is because the board will often smack right into your legs when you are trying out new tricks. Pants are ideal if you want to get some more coverage for your shins, and they are in fact recommended if you want to try and flip down stairs. Shorts on the other hand are ideal for bowl skating or vert skating as you need a lot of flexibility and having exposed knees will help you. Knee pads can be useful here, as they won’t restrict you as much as pants will.

When skateboarding it is a good idea for you to try and choose clothes that are suited to the type of weather that you intend to skateboard in. You should really try and have some clothes that are suited to summer skating as well as for winter skating. Pants are suited if you are skating in the colder seasons, but if you are used to shorts, you might want to opt for ¾ pants or ones that are nice and lightweight so that you can ensure that you have the maximum flexibility at all times. This will work wonders for you, so make sure that you keep that in mind as much as possible. it will help you out a great deal and it will also help you to make the most out of your performance.
