WATCH THE TRAILER FOR SHRED AMERICA

The documentary covers a very unusual skating journey

Some people just get the itch to go on a long journey, to see how far they can go. Sometimes it’s as simple as getting on your bike and seeing how many miles you can rack up. Maybe you’ve gone on a cross-country journey before. Although, depending on what country you live in that is more impressive than for some others. No disrespect mean to our readers in San Marino. What about traveling on a skateboard, though? Well, two friends set out on quite the skating trek, and now it is the subject of a documentary.

Back in June of 2008, two friends, Arthur Swidzinski and Michael Kosciesza, decided to take off on a journey. That journey took them from Chicago to New York City…on skateboard. Now, that’s a helluva drive. On a skateboard it’s a trip you can barely fathom. The friends traveled via skateboard for 950 miles. How did they do it? Why did they do it? These questions will surely be answered in Shred America, the documentary that is now available. For a little taste, check out the trail right now.
