Watch the Series Finale of Loveletters to Skateboarding

The show pays homage to Jeff Grosso one last time
CHRIS MORGAN  |

It’s been over a year since Jeff Grosso died. At the time he passed away at 51 he was still hosting Vans’ YouTube series Loveletters to Skateboarding. Grosso had made the transition from skater to skateboarding commentator smoothly, and his lost reverberated thoughout the skating world. Since his death, there have been a couple episodes of Loveletters to Skateboarding dedicated to Grosso, and now the Vans series has reached its final episode. The series finale is fittingly a love letter to Grosso himself. It’s hosted by Grosso’s son Oliver, and features several skateboarders who were friends of Grosso or were inspired by him. This includes friends of his like John Lucero, Ray Barbee, and Lance Mountain as well as younger skaters who were influenced by Grosso. Obviously, it’s hard for this finale of Loveletters to Skateboarding not to feel a little emotionally overwhelming, especially with Grosso’s son being involved. Still, it’s a fitting goodbye to the late, beloved skater. Watch it above.
