WATCH PEDRO BARROS AND MURILO PERES SKATE BRAZILIAN BUILDINGS

Architecture has met skating, and it packs a punch.

Have you ever seen a building and thought, “Man, I’d love to skate that?” Sure, you probably have, but you also probably haven’t done it. Either it’s too daunting a task, or you don’t want to get dragged away by security. The dream has to remain just that; a dream. However, for two Brazilian skaters, Pedro Barros and Murilo Peres, that dream just became a reality.

There is a Brazilian architect named Oscar Niemeyer who is considered at the forefront of his field. His buildings don’t just stand out for looking dynamic. They also really seem just perfect for skating. Some skaters have even taken the opportunity to try and skate on them, illegally of course. Well Barros and Peres didn’t take that route. They got the go-ahead to actually skate on four of Niemeyer’s buildings in Brazil. It’s pretty crazy to see Barros and Peres in action as they take on these structures like they weren’t any more daunting than a half pipe. Check it out above for yourself, and remember that they had permission. If you try and pull the same thing you might not get away with it.
