WATCH JAMIE FOY TEAR IT UP IN HIS HOME STATE

There is a theory that most of the best athletes come from warm-weather states because of the lack of a true winter lets them practice their craft month in and month out. Maybe that’s true for skaters as well. Jamie Foy would be a test case for that. The rising star started skating in his native Florida before heading out to the skateboarding paradise that is Southern California. He hasn’t forgotten his roots, though, as his new video shows.

Foy went down to Pensacola in his native Sunshine State repping for Deathwish for a demonstration that surely brought out some folks that knew him back when. Deathwish put together a highlight video from the event that showcases Foy’s skills to a tee. He may have left the state Homer Simpson called “America’s wang” for Cali, but he’s done his home state, and those of us jonesing for some skating content online, a favor with this demo.
