Vague Takes Us to the Moors Alongside Orwellian World Landscapes

It’s not as ominous as all that sounds
CHRIS MORGAN  |

Orwellian World Landscapes doesn’t exactly scream a skateboarding collective. A name that ominous seems like it would belong to some cynical internet group, or at the very least a self-aggrandizing post-punk band. Fortunately, they are, in fact, just a bunch of British skaters who are fun to see in action, which is clear in this new video from Vague magazine, one of the United Kingdom’s premier skating publications.

The video, called moorland, does not take us on a trip through London like so many skate videos do. Instead, everything takes place in the Southwestern United Kingdom. Specifically, they hit up some country roads, in some of the mossier, more rural landscapes. It’s not your usual skating fodder, but that doesn’t deter Orwellian World Landscapes. Moorland features several different skaters in the land of moors, including Cal Dawson, Ash Humphrey, Phil Russell, Alfie Williams, and many more. Expand your horizons outside the usual spots in London with Vague, and Orwellian World Landscapes, right above.
