Terry Kennedy Acquitted Of Murder But Charged With Battery

Update on the ongoing TK situation

On July 27, 2021, Terry Kennedy punched his friend and fellow skateboarder - Josiah Kassuhan, resulting in his tragic and unexpected death. It was TK (Terry Kennedy), his girlfriend, and Josiah staying together at Oakbrook Terrace. They got wasted the night before the tragedy despite TK knowing he had to drive or be driven to the airport the next day.

On that morning, TK and his girlfriend got into an argument because she was too drunk to drive. When TK got aggressive towards his girlfriend, Josiah spoke up and tried to calm him down.

TK got out of the car in a rage and punched Josiah in the face, which caused him to fall with brute force, hitting his head on the concrete. As a result, there was bleeding in the brain, which led to death.

The defense argued that TK had to have previous knowledge that throwing a punch could kill someone or seriously wound them for him to be convicted of murder. TK was found guilty of two counts of aggravated violence and the murder charges have been dropped.

He's waiting for sentencing on his aggravated battery conviction in DuPage County jail.
