Recently several Supreme decks were brought onto the market by retailer Moda Operandi. The seven-ply Canadian maple decks listed were produced by Supreme and are decorated with the arts of Damien Hirst, Richard Prince, Christopher Wool, and Jeff Koons. And there, of course, in a very limited quantity.

Limited to only 500 boards, Koons decks were the first to hit the market in 2006. In a set of 3 monkey-decorated decks inspired by his own work, “Monkey train,” the New York artist covered the decks with cartoon monkeys over colorful backgrounds. The top of the decks are covered in solid colors of blue, yellow, and orange, along with the Supreme box logo, Koons signature, and the text “Monkey Train.”

American-based artist Richard Prince was next in line, and in 2007 a two-set of clean and minimalistic decks in black and white dropped. The minimalistic designs feature a Playboy-bunny-inspired skull and an abstract body commonly found in Prince’s work. Turning the decks over, the minimalism remains with a classic Supreme Box logo and the artist’s signature.

In 2008 it was Christopher Wools's turn to add to Supremes skateboard artists series, and so he did. Limited to 500 decks, Wools designed a 3-deck set that surprisingly didn’t include the black-and-white word-inspired paintings he was famous for. Instead, he went for a more colorful and abstract design on the back and a minimalistic Supreme Box logo print on the top.

Supreme followed up on their 2008 Wool decks with the help of Damien Hirst in 2009. The UK-based artist used his spin paint technique to design the decks, a technique he started using in 1992 that gained him a lot of attention. The vibrant decks come in a set of 3 and feature an explosion of colors on the bottom combined with solid-colored surfaces in red, blue, and yellow on top. On the top, you’ll also find a set of black motifs, a small Supreme box logo, and, yet again, the artist’s signature.

The Supreme decks are currently available on the Moda Operandi website and range between $5.000 – $14.000 if you have some extra dough to spend.
