Skatelite Takes a Trip to a Small-Town Skatepark

You may want to put this spot on your next California itinerary

Skateparks aren’t just for major cities. Sure, it makes sense that you have plenty of spots to skate in Los Angeles, but there is so much more to the skate of California. Take, for example, Cayucos, California. It’s not even technically a town. It’s a “census-designated place,” which makes it sound drab. That couldn’t be further from the truth, though. They call Cayucos the “Little Slice of Paradise,” as its right on the Pacific Ocean in San Luis Obispo County. One of the perks of this little town? It has its own skatepark, which Skatelite paid a visit to recently.

Of course, since Skatelite is doing a video about the Cayucos Bowl, you know that they are the ones who provided the materials for the park. Hey, they stand by their work, and it gives us a chance to see a skatepark we might not see otherwise. In addition to the killer views, Cayucos’ skatepark is actually totally free! If you are looking to take a vacation to a small town sometime, maybe you should put Cayucos on your list. Bring your board, but don’t worry about bringing any cash to pay for skating the Cayucos Bowl. You will need cash for other stuff, though. Watch Skatelite’s video on the park, which features skaters like Chris Hiett in action, in the video above.
