Bakwas sounds as cool as the board

If you're a fan of Silas Baxter-Neal and you love skateboarding, you're in for a real treat! Metal Skateboards has just released a brand-new guest board featuring an awesome graphic that pays homage to the legendary skater.

The board's graphic was designed by Metal's in-house artist and showcases Baxter-Neal's name in bold letters, along with an image of the Bakwas or "Wildman of the Woods."

According to Metal Skateboards, they've known Silas since 2005 King of the Road and he was one of the Habitat guys who was always down for rock metal gear. So, when it came to working on another guest board, they knew they had to collaborate with him.

"When I reached out, we started talking about some of his local folklore," Metal Skateboards explains. "He laid out a good idea and in walked The Bakwas also known as 'Wildman of the Woods'. Bakwas lives in the forest where the woods meet the water."

As the legend goes, Bakwas lives in an invisible house with the spirits of the drowned. These drowned are lured in with ghost food resembling salmon and berries but are really rotten wood and maggots. Anyone who eats this offering is doomed to become like the Bakwas themselves.

The graphic for this board was drawn up by Sean Pryor and comes in Silas’s 8.25 Habitat shape. And, just when you thought it couldn't get any better, Metal Skateboards threw in their reshaped alien 90’s football in 8.75. So, if you're looking for a new board to shred on and show off your love for Silas Baxter-Neal, this guest board from Metal Skateboards is definitely worth checking out.
