ROB TARO GOES TO JAPAN FOR VAGUE

And the skating he captured was well worth the trip
CHRIS MORGAN  |

Filmer Rob Taro took quite a trip through Japan. Fingers crossed that’s the kind of thing we can all do safely in 2021. Taro made stops in Osaka, Tokyo, Yokohama, and Yokosuka. The reason for his excursions? It wasn’t just to hit up a few different sushi spots, though we bet that would make for a great trip. No, he was filming a video that recently was premiered by Vague, one of the United Kingdom’s top skateboarding magazines.

A ton of Japanese skaters pop up in Timescan x Vague, so many that naming them all would be a lengthy list. Still, for the sake of edification, let’s just drop a few names on you: Hiroki Muraoka, Masaki Hongo, Kouki Arima, and Tsuyoshi Uchida. You can watch the video above, and if you are interested in further studies, there’s an article on Taro’s video in Vague you can read here.
