Polaroid X Thrasher: Capturing The Chaos And Community Of Skateboarding

A limited-edition release
NICK WHITE  |

Polaroid and Thrasher just linked up on a limited-edition drop that’s all about skateboarding’s grit, chaos, and the crew vibes that make it what it is. Skating has never been just about who lands the trick — it’s who filmed it, who yelled when the board popped, and who helped scrape you off the pavement after the slam. Polaroid runs on that same energy: raw, unpredictable, and best when it’s in the moment.

The collab brings the Polaroid Now Generation 3 – Thrasher Edition ($149,99), each one hydro-dipped so no two cameras look the same, plus the Polaroid Color i-Type Film – Thrasher Edition ($21,99) with 11 Neckface-designed frames that hit as wild as the skating itself.

Shot by the Thrasher squad with extra lenswork from Michael Burnett, Tim Aguilar, Rye Beres, and Tony Vitello, the campaign keeps it true to skateboarding’s raw DNA. Thrasher’s been flying the SKATE AND DESTROY flag since ’81, while Polaroid’s been pushing analog creativity since the ’30s. Put them together, and you’ve got more than just a camera and some film — you’ve got a snapshot of what makes skateboarding tick: the tricks, the chaos, and most of all, the people who were there for it.

Both drop today on polaroid.com and select spots worldwide.
