Travis Scott is back again with another Nike collab. With some successful collabs under his belt, we enter a new year of exciting and bold Scott designs. The rapper and his Cactus Jack brand are moving down the list of classic Nike silhouettes. Having made their own unique version of the Air-Force 1, Jordan 1, 4, 6 and 33 we now see a long-awaited version of the Nike SB Dunk Lows.

Marketing is always an important aspect for Travis Scott releases. This time we were teased the Low Dunks in the short film promoting the JACKBOYS album that released in 2019.

The shoe also appeared on “La Flames” Instagram in a sequence of staged skating photos and videos. The posts see himself alongside skaters like Evan Mock, Alex Midler and Ishod Wair rocking the Dunks while shredding.

The SB Dunks are decorated with an ‘earthy’ upper with Navy, paisley patterned accents which will reveal the underlying lighter colored accents as the shoe wears out. The shoe also features plaid prints, rope laces, text around the collar and a Cactus Jack logo to finish it all off.

To coincide with the SB Dunk release Scott surprised us with new Cactus Jack merch. The limited-edition skate capsule features hoodies, tees, decks, wheels and other accessories. With prices ranging from $8 to $65 the merch is available for purchase here.

The Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk Lows are set to release on February 29th at select skate at a $150 price-tag. However the Nike SB collaboration released exclusively on Scotts online shop February 22nd. The earlier drops time was unannounced and featured an exclusive shoe-box dressed in bandana and plaid patterns to go alongside the design of the shoe.

What do you think about Scott's entry to the skate-shoe world? Does it work or should he leave it to the experts?
