Nike SB Pays Tribute to the Sony VX1000

It’s like wearing a camcorder on your feet (but comfortable)

If you have watched, or made, a skate video over the last couple of decades, you are probably familiar with the Sony VX1000 camera. OK, so if you’re on the younger side of things maybe you’ve never shot with anything but your phone, but some of the older skaters out there feel us, right? The Sony VX1000 debuted in 1995, and from that point on it shots hundreds of skate videos, professional or otherwise. Well Nike SB has now released a colorway of the Dunk Low that is an homage to the iconic camcorder. They…really look like the Sony VX1000, at least to the extent that a shoe can. We like the little touches like the words “REC LEVEL” and “SHUTTER SPEED” being included on the shoes. These Nike SB Dunk Lows, will be dropping in Nike SB’s Orange Label skate shops on February 20.
