Nike SB and Frame Skate Collaborate on a New Shoe
This has been a big year for Nike SB’s collaborations. They’ve paired up with multiple skate shops around the globe to unveil collabs on the shoe front. Some of the previous models were made together with shops like Atlas, Civilist, and Instant. Next up? A collaboration with Frame Skate, a company based in Dubai. The show is called the Dunk Low Habibi, and it looks like it will be a good one to add to your closet if you are in the mood for a new skating shoe.
The Habibi is primarily a white-and-red colorway, with those two hues color blocked. The shoelaces are also red and white and look really cool, which we don’t say all that often about shoelaces. There’s also two Nike swooshes, one black and one green. “Habibi” is a word you might know if you are from the Middle East (or Metro Detroit, where a lot of people of Middle Eastern descent have settled. Shout out to Dearborn!). It’s a pet name that basically means “my love,” and is mostly used as a term of affection. That’s a nice name for a show, especially one that is a collaboration with a company based in Dubai.
Nike hasn’t announced an official release date for the Nike SB x Frame Skate Dunk Low Habibi, but one is expected soon. Until then, you can get a look at the shoe above to see if you might want to add it to your Christmas list.
