Mellowpark Opens Its New Outdoor Park
Mellowpark, Union Berlin, Adidas, and IRIEDAILY developed a special supporting program on Sunday. In the home game against Bayer Leverkusen on Matchday (Sunday, 30.04.23), the Unioners played in a jersey that's intention was to help entice more kids from Berlin to get involved with the skateboarding community.
For this reason, Mellowpark (a youth culture hub based near the "A der Alten Försterei" stadium) adorns the chest of the special jersey for match day. Furthermore, Adidas and its partners have used a large chunk of the proceeds from the sales of the limited shirt to finance the construction of a brand-new skate park at Mellowpark, making it an exciting new addition to the continuously growing adventure land.
Everybody was welcome with open arms to the opening jam, which consisted of endless drinks, good food, ping pong tables, basketball, and even a cash-for-tricks session! And all of this went down with the sun shining warm and bright. To make things even better, this was the one day of the week when it didn't rain!
So, grab your boards and footy gear and ride up to Mellowpark this summer to check out the new park and everything else they have to offer!
