LET’S PARTY LIKE IT’S 1999 WITH BEAGLE

It’s a look at some classic Baker video action.

We’re on a retro kick at Dose today. Hey, can you forgive us for not wanting to be in 2020 right now? Beagle, the nom de cinema of the man who filmed many a video for Baker back in the day, has been doing a YouTube show called Beagle Tapes wherein he drops some classic, little-or-never-before-seen videos from a bygone era in skating. How far back can he go? So far back that Y2K was still a thing people were talking about.

For the 34th episode of Beagle Tapes, Beagle dropped “Tape #78” on us. That guy must have a ton of video lying around. At the time, he was filming Baker2G, which places this video roughly around 1999. There are a couple of classic old-school names popping up, including Andrew Reynolds, a skater who was in the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater lineup. You can also check out Jeff Lenoce and a brief appearance from Brian Sumner. Thanks to these videos, Snoopy is no longer our favorite Beagle. That dude mostly just sleeps on top of his doghouse anyway. Well, if Snoopy wants a break from sleeping or writing novels, he should take a trip back to 1999 right here.
