JSP and Vans Join Forces to Honor a Legendary Philadelphia Skatepark
They are giving the love to Love Park
If you know skateboarding history, you’ve probably heard of Love Park in Philadelphia. For years, it was the spot for skaters in the City of Brotherly Love. Unfortunately, the area was renovated by the city in 2016, and skateboarding is no longer allowed at the former home of Love Park. However, it’s legend lives on, and that legend is all over a new shoe collaboration between Vans and JSP. JSP is run by Jimmy Gorecki, who is one of those skaters who used to hang out at Love Park. Gorecki and Vans have collaboration on a new look for the Chukka 79. It’s simple, but the homage to Love Park is clear, especially on the midsole. Check out the video that was put out in celebration of the Chukka 79, and also Love Park, above.
