Gritty Skateboards with the American Flag for the Fourth

The red, white, blue, and orange

If you are in the United States and you did something for the Fourth of July, hopefully you enjoyed yourself. Now, you have had your fill of burgers and hot dogs, the fireworks have all been shot off, and you’re ready to continue your summer. However, before that, we have one more throwback to the Fourth. We think you won’t mind, because it involves Gritty on a skateboard.

If you aren’t family with Gritty, he’s the mascot of the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers, but he’s also so much more. The orange monster quickly became a beloved figure on the internet and a meme lord, and even those who don’t care about hockey at all love Gritty. He’s not merely the Flyers matchup, he’s basically the mascot for Philly as a city as well. Naturally, he was out there helping Philadelphians celebrate the Fourth of July, and he did so by hoping on a skateboard and waving the American Flag. Hey, skateboarding in a mascot costume is probably hard! Also, we weren’t going to miss the chance to post Gritty content for the first, and perhaps only, time.
