NEW SKATERS ADDED TO REMASTERED TONY HAW’S PRO SKATER GAME

Get ready for some fresh faces joining the iconic lineup.

We were hyped when it was announced that Activision was released a newly remastered game combining Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2. We are big proponents of the original game here, and this got us more excited than any new game could have. The only regret is that we can’t play it on a Nintendo 64. In addition to the heavily-improved graphics, it has been announced that some new skaters have been added to the games.

I’ve recently been doing interviews about the upcoming THPS1+2 release and one question has caught me by surprise: why is the original roster of pros featured at their current age? I hadn’t thought about it much and I now realize that it’s a testament to this group’s dedication to skateboarding, their perseverance and rare longevity. But it also might have been fun to be immortalized 20 years younger in 4K... best filter ever? Edit: this is just a sampling of the roster

Don’t fret, all the classics are still there. You can still hit the warehouse as Bucky Lasek and the school as Geoff Rowley. However, some younger skateboard fans may want some fresher names. For them, may we point you to the likes of Nyjah Huston, Lizzie Armanto, Tyshawn Jones, and several more? Oh, and Riley Hawk of course. Yes, Tony Hawk’s son is now in a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game. The time comes for us all. If you haven’t seen the trailer for the remastered games yet, check it out.
