New York City is a skateboarding Mecca. The city is full of skateboarders, possibly the most total skaters in one city in the world, but skating there during the winter can be tricky. For a time like that, having access to indoor skateparks is a good thing. Of course, the last year has not been a good time to starting a new business, or at least one that needs patrons. You know who knows that? Substance, a new indoor skatepark in NYC. The park went through the efforts of opening during the COVID-19 pandemic, which seems crazy to us. To delve into that experience, the folks over at No Jumper put together a video that chronicles the folks at Substance’s ordeal. Want to know what it was like to open an indoor skatepark in the city of New York while the world was being ravaged by a pandemic? Watch this video to find out.
