Foo Fighters and Vans Collab on a Special Sk8-Hi Look

It’s all in honor of Dave Grohl’s bands legacy
CHRIS MORGAN  |

We know that a lot of dyed-in-the-wool skaters don’t necessarily like to rock Vans for skating purposes. However, while a lot of their attire is more of the lifestyle variety these days, the Sk8-Hi is definitely a throwback to the days when skaters were actually wearing the So Cal brand. Just as importantly, we are here mostly because of this specific new collaboration. Foo Fighters, the band Dave Grohl formed after the end of Nirvana, is celebrating its 25th year. For that reason, Vans and Foo Fighters have combined for a collaboration in a new look for the Sk8-Hi. They’re mostly black and white with some Foo Fighters iconography. If you like the band, and you aren’t around 25 years without fans, you’ll probably like these shoes. The assumption is that they will be released around the band’s release of their latest album Medicine at Midnight, which is February 5. For now, you can check the announcement out in Vans’ Instagram.
