FISE Singapore Delivers
The first-ever FISE Singapore blew up Somerset this weekend with two full days of Skateboarding, BMX, Roller, Breaking, and Flatland taking over *SCAPE and the Somerset Skatepark. Backed by Sport Singapore, the Singapore Tourism Board, and *SCAPE, this debut stop instantly felt like a milestone for urban sports in Southeast Asia. The vibe was pure voltage international heavy-hitters on deck, locals showing up in force, as they should.

Across the weekend, a stacked lineup of athletes jumped between demos, sessions, meet-and-greets, and totally unplanned throwdowns with the crowd. Ryan Williams dropped in like the showman he is, joined by Caio De Souza, Bgirl Carlota, Bboy Xak, Pedro Quintas, Stellio Sakellarides, Joe Atkinson, David Sizemore, Jean-William Prévost, Julien Baran, and more. The mix of world-class pros and local riders turned the whole space into one big rolling classroom of style and creativity. Over 150 riders signed up for contests, and the crowd treated every trick like a final Somerset felt more like a stadium than a skatepark.
Highlights & Unreal Moments
-
Pedro Quintas snapped his board mid-run, fixed it on the spot, then jumped back in like nothing happened.
-
Caio De Souza and Ryan Williams basically turned the park into their personal playground—Caio bunny-hopped clean over a group of kids while R-Willy hyped the whole thing.
-
Joe Atkinson, in peak Joe fashion, broke off his line mid-run just to scratch on the DJ’s board, then rolled right back into it.
If this was the first edition, Singapore’s urban sports future is about to go huge.
