Fallout Continues After the Dolores Hill Arrests

This isn’t primed to end anytime soon

We told you about the 32 arrests the San Francisco police engaged in after breaking up the 2023 Dolores Hill Bomb arrests. The long-standing event had become controversial after a cyclist died in 2020, and the cops were not interested in allowing it to happen in 2023. We didn’t know at the time that, like, 80 minors had been cited by the police as well. Things have not calmed down in the City by the Bay since the arrested occurred. Both sides are defending themselves, and things are once again testy between the cops and skaters.
This is where local news, when done right, can be valuable. The San Francisco stations (it also helps that this occurred in a major city with multiple stations dedicated to local news) have covered it in myriad ways. We’ve seen protests, statements from the SFPD, and also eyewitness stories from locals who live in the area, but were not part of the Dolores Hill Bomb.
