ELEMENT AND TESUNORI TAWARAYA JOIN FORCES FOR DECK COLLECTION
Skateboarding is a sport. Anybody who has tried it knows that. There’s a reason the X Games are on ESPN and that skateboarding is going to be in the Summer Olympics (when it finally happens). However, for many it’s also a creative outlet. You can express your style through skating, and that includes the artwork on your board. Well if you care about board artwork at all, or even just art in general, you may want to check out Element’s new collection of decks with art from Tetsunori Tawaraya.
If you aren’t familiar with Tawaraya, he’s a Japanese illustrator and punk musician. He has a very distinct style that is abundantly clear when you look at the artwork he has made for these boards from Element. It’s pretty trippy stuff, and we’re sure there are a lot of skaters out there who would love to have their boards look like this. The only problem is that Tawaraya’s art may be too cool to subject to grinding and the wear and tear of skating. Then again, what else is aboard for?
