Elaine Shallcross, a 68-year-old from Scotland, is raising money for cancer research with her unique #SHUVITCANCER campaign. The campaign will see the 68-year-old perform the ‘Shove it’ skateboard move. With having no experience on the board, the resilient Elaine has already raised £8000 in support.  Elaine has never used a skateboard in her life, and worked previously at the University of Aberdeen Library, however for the campaign she will have to learn how to spin the board under her feet without it hitting the floor whilst undergoing chemotherapy. Elaine's unique way of telling cancer to shove it stemmed from her recent diagnosis. Her cancer, unfortunately, returned after originally being given the all-clear when she first suffered from Breast cancer back in August 2018.  View this post on Instagram Skateboarding, like cancer has taught me that when you fall you have get up, keep going and push through it!! The idea became a hit within the skateboarding community, with support pouring in from all over the world. The official Instagram page has already surpassed 47,000 followers and fund-raising value, combined with previous campaigns, is inching towards £14,000.
