Check Out Chris Wimer in Rancho Cucamonga for Mob Grips

The video is quite…gripping
CHRIS MORGAN  |

Rancho Cucamonga is a funny name for a city. We can all acknowledge that. When Krusty the Clown was tearing clown college on The Simpsons “Cucamonga” was one of the funny place names he taught the class (Homer was particularly taken by “Seattle.”) However, it is a very real place, which means you can skate there if you so desire. Chris Wimer did that recently for Mob Grip.

There’s nothing quite like a fresh application of grip on your board. The video makes a point of noting that Wimer is wearing old shoes with the new grip, presumably to illustrate just how much some fresh grip can do for you. Even when you’re in Rancho Cucamonga. Or Walla Walla, Washington. Wimer in Walla Walla? That would have just rolled off the tongue. Hey, with some fresh grip on his board he might be able to ride all the way from Rancho Cucamonga to Walla Walla. Maybe next year. Check out Wimer, and his grip, in action in the video above.
