AURELIEN GIRAUD RETURNS TO HIS FAVORITE FRENCH STOMPING GROUND

Giraud knows his way around the Hotel de Ville
CHRIS MORGAN  |

When the Olympics roll around, we will likely be seeing Aurelien Giraud in action for France. He won’t be intimidated by Tokyo, because Giraud has skated all over the world. In fact, in 2019 he straight-up won the Dew Tour Finals in Long Beach. However, like everybody he has a home base and familiar haunts. When you’re French, those places can be quite beautiful to skate as well.

Giraud has been seen, and shot, skating at Lyon’s Hotel de Ville. There’s a lovely plaza there that is just primed for skating. He’s been doing that for a long time, and La Plaza Cretiel edited together a mix of some of Giraud’s best moments skating at the Hotel de Ville. The edit has been put onto Instagram, so now you can see Giraud in action. There was no Dew Tour, or Olympics, this summer, but skaters never stop.
